Taste of the SLC: A Food Market | Mar. 28 – 30, 2023

Mar. 28 – 30, 2023 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | SLC Amphitheatre

The SLC is excited to announce the return of Taste of the SLC: A Food Market running from March 28th to March 30th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the SLC Amphitheatre and we are inviting all makers, decorators, and bakers of food to apply as a food vendor!

Participating as a vendor is the perfect way to explore the entrepreneurial world for the first time, grow a new business, or share your established business with the community. All TMU students, staff, and faculty members are welcome to apply as a vendor for free!

Taste of the SLC is proud to bring a diverse collection of talent, passion, and experience together for an event that inspires, supports, and connects budding businesses and foodies within the TMU community!

Vendors should be prepared to have food items ready to sell. We will provide you with table space (varying sizes available) and encourage you to decorate the table in whatever way represents you best.

Taste of the SLC will be a great opportunity to engage with SLC guests and the TMU community in a high traffic area.

Ready to sign up as a vendor? Fill out this form by February 3rd – 5:00 PM EST and get ready for an amazing experience!

Have questions? Contact us through email at slchelp@torontomu.ca or stop by the SLC headquarters located at SLC 516. Our office hours are Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Accepting External Applications This Year:

Applications are open to external community members who have been referred by a TMU member. Those applying as a Friend of TMU (a referred vendor who is not a student, staff or faculty) will pay a fee of $100 for their booth. This fee helps our team at the Student Learning Centre continue to support student-focused activities, events, and projects that engage the TMU community and enhance the student experience.

By inviting vendors beyond the student, staff and faculty community we aim to expand the Shop the SLC network to bring in established entrepreneurs to connect with students. If you know a vendor that would be a good fit, send them the link to the vendor application form! When filling out the form, outside vendors must provide a TMU contact with a TMU email address as a referral.

While this initiative will allow for greater network opportunities, we will continue to prioritize the TMU community as vendors. We are committed to keeping 80% of available booths dedicated to TMU students, staff and faculty.

Shop the SLC: A Winter Marketplace | Nov. 21 -25, 2022

Nov. 21th – 25th | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | SLC Amphitheatre

After the COVID hiatus, this year marks the return of Shop the SLC – a marketplace that provides the opportunity for vendors, both seasoned and new, to sell goods at a booth in an established market.

Participating as a vendor is the perfect way to explore the entrepreneurial world for the first time, grow a new business, or share your established business with the community – and it’s free!

Shop the SLC is proud to bring a diverse collection of talent, passion, and experience together for an event that inspires, supports, and connects budding businesses within the TMU community!

Vendors of all kinds are welcome; art, crafts, clothes, food, services, technology, jewelry and more! If you make or provide something and want to connect with the TMU community, this is the perfect event for you.

Vendors will need to be prepared to have items ready to sell, or an on-the-spot service to offer to the TMU community. We will provide you with table space (varying sizes available), for you to decorate and personalize to reflect your business.

As a vendor you will be invited to a Meet n’ Greet event prior to Shop the SLC on Wednesday, November 16th. The Meet n’ Greet will provide information about the market as well as an opportunity to network and meet other vendors.

Ready to sign up? Fill out this form by October 21th 5:00 PM EST and get ready for an amazing experience!

Have questions? Please email slchelp@ryerson.ca or stop by the SLC headquarters located at SLC 516. Our office hours are Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
