Policies on Bicycles, Mopeds, Scooters, Skating Devices at the SLC

Bicycles, Mopeds and/or e-Scooters

Mopeds, Bikes (electronic or manually controlled), and/or e-scooters (electric scooters) are not permitted indoors at the Sheldon Levy & Tracy Student Learning Centre (SLC). 

Please do not block accessible ramps or entrances with parked mopeds, bikes (electronic or manually controlled), and/or e-scooters (electric scooters).

TMU community members are encouraged to choose from the more than 1,100 outdoor bicycle parking locations on campus equipped with stationary, permanent bicycle “post and ring” poles or racks. Please refer to the TMU Bicycle parking for further information.

Skating Devices

Any person skating by board, in-line skates, roller skates, roller blades, or other skating devices shall adhere to the following rules and regulations.

  • Skating of any kind is not permitted inside the Sheldon Levy & Tracy Student Learning Centre (SLC) building.
  • Skating stunts of any kind are not permitted. Skating is not permitted on any steps, retaining walls, landscape walls, benches, handrails, etc. due to damage that may be caused to University property and for personal safety.
